Scattered around a large park, the chalets, lodges (former outfitters) and the condos contain the rooms and are accessed via tracks by car, and also by walking in snow shoes, by bike or on foot. The main building, the inn, holds the restaurant, the children's games room (colourful, spacious and well-equipped; younger children will love it) and the reception, which is very welcoming, and equipped with a lounge area with parquet flooring, a large fireplace, brown velvet sofas, armchairs and large coffee table. It is ultra-comfortable and very tasteful. This huge area is well-known for the considerable amount of activities it has to offer.
Two ice skating rinks: the first is equipped with ice hockey goals, with sticks provided, and the second is a track just over half a mile long, in the heart of fir trees and lit up at night. Finally, it is possible to ice skate without just doing a mini-circle on a puddle that has iced over! Ice skating rinks, cross-country skiing, "glissade sur tubes" (sliding on a sort of large rubber ring), snow shoe hiking, dog sleds and snowmobiling are all practised on the miles of tracks and on the lake, which is frozen until the beginning of May. All the equipment needed for these is available to guests, with an extra charge for dog sledding and snowmobiling. Concerning snowmobiling, the equipment is changed every year and you will be able to choose from the best of the best. As for dog sledding, this is a unique experience in the heart of nature. The kennel houses more than 100 dogs, each one louder and livelier than the next, and the dog handlers are less noisy, but passionate and very nice.
Moreover, you can also practise ice fishing and prepare the fish in the restaurant's kitchen according to your taste.
You can go around the lake on foot, by bike or by quad bike, and this is 14 mi in all! And to relax after all of this exercise, you can go for a nice swim. In the lake of course! There is a small beach set up, where there is a cabin allowing you to have a picnic and even have barbecues with the people you have been fishing with.
Finally, in both summer and winter, the hotel has an aquatic centre which houses one of the biggest swimming pools in Mauricie. Semi-Olympic, it is surrounded by bay windows, giving you the impression that you are swimming in the heart of nature, but indoors (it is 30°C!). This centre also has saunas (separate for women and men), Turkish bath, Scandinavian baths, a Jacuzzi, a small gym, and 2 Swedish massage rooms.
