The Mercure Salvador is nestled in a cliff, surrounded by other hotels, although far enough to feel isolated. Therefore, this is an ideal place for a rest. The white building, without any particular charm, has seven floors with a strongly air conditioned lobby on the ground floor. Decor is simple but practical in light tones, and with exotic flower arrangements. The modestly sized swimming pool is pretty, almond shaped and curvy, and is located in front of the hotel, overlooking the ocean. It offers a magnificent view of the bay. Deckchairs, a small bar, Brazilian music... Nice environment. We noticed a beautiful, spacious fitness room overlooking the sea, and a nice sauna and massage space nearby.
