All different, the 8 guest rooms at the Pousada Casa Vila Bela each have their own unique charm: One features blue azulejos tiles, another has an original high quality wood parquet floor, one has tiles underfoot, and one of the smaller ones has a light shaft. They are all superbly decorated with original brick walls (1930), a pretty painting of Salvador, wood furniture, a few flowers, and fine attention to detail. The facilities include a safe with a key (free) and a mini bar fridge. There is no television but you hardly visit Salvador to stare at the box all day! Although there is no air conditioning in the rooms, they are equipped with a fan. They also lack a telephone line and have no Internet access, but there is a computer in the lobby with free Internet access and Wifi is also available here if you bring your laptop. All the rooms boast a terrace with a hammock, a table and two wooden chairs, and if you are lucky you might get a fine view of Bahia de Todos os Santos. The bathrooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and contain a large shower with a fixed head and trompe l'oeil design (the pebbles on the floor are painted on!), a toilet, and a bar of soap.
