The decor in the main building is typical of the local style; from the lobby right down to the last nook and cranny, the interior design is traditionally Sardinian, complete with stencil paintings all over the walls. There's really no escaping it. Enthusiasts, take note!
Fortunately, the exterior setting is spectacular, with floral gardens, climbing wisteria, ivy and bougainvilleas, large lawns, and an oak and olive tree forest overlooking the Bay of Cugnana. The small swimming pool located just below the main building enjoys a great location set amid holm oaks, olive trees, junipers, and large rocks against a backdrop of rocky peaks, making it a real haven of peace. Access to the pool area is via a steep and winding pathway through the trees, and whilst the pool is rather far from the guest rooms, there is a snack bar complete with a terrace and toilets just alongside it.
When it comes to sports, the Rocce Sarde boasts 2 lovely tennis courts (with a professional instructor and lighting available on request, both incurring an additional charge) and a ping-pong table. Mountain bikes are available to borrow free of charge for those looking to explore the region in greater depth. Various games, tournaments, aquagym, and aerobics classes are organised in July and August by the hotel's 2 entertainment coordinators. There is also a mini-club (open in July and August only) to keep children entertained. The Rocce Sarde doesn't have its own beach but there is a free shuttle service that operates between the hotel and the public beach less than 2 mi away. A variety of water sports activities can be booked directly through the hotel, which also has its own boat that offers trips to the Maddalena Islands.
