The Tropical hotel is designed through and through for young people on holiday. It is located bang in the tourist centre of San Antonio, the perfect base as far as nightlife is concerned.     This establishment is located bang in the tourist centre of San Antonio, the perfect base as far as nightlife is concerned. A few metres from the hotel is the West End district, which is full of bars and nightclubs offering something for everybody. The town of San Antonio is also known for its sunsets, which are the most beautiful on the island. One of the best places from which to enjoy these magnificent evening views is the Cafe del Mar.

    The hotel has 142 reasonably spacious and clean rooms. Some of them have a balcony and views over the swimming pool, while others only have a window. The rooms themselves are simple but organised in a practical manner to guarantee you have a satisfactory level of comfort. They are equipped with a fan, a small television (some have a plasma screen television), a desk, a telephone, a minibar, a wardrobe with a built-in safe, and a fully equipped bathroom. The furniture is in good condition. The bedroom floor is tiled and the terrace is covered with a synthetic lawn. The rooms face just the right way for them to benefit from lots of natural light.

    The hotel has 142 reasonably spacious and clean rooms. Some of the rooms have a balcony and views over the swimming pool, while others only have a window. On the ground floor you will find the reception, bar, lounge, and restaurant. The lounge is spacious, but a few of the armchairs and other pieces of furniture are a bit outdated. This is a nice place to read or chat with friends, and you can also surf the Internet on one of the computers provided or use the free Wifi. The swimming pool, gym, miniature golf course, and games room are located on a different site across the road from the hotel itself. The swimming pool is large and has a solarium with deckchairs for sunbathing and listening to the latest music played through the loudspeakers. You can also have a light meal or snack here, as there is a bar just next to the swimming pool. The gym is small but well lit, and it has several exercise machines to help you keep in shape during your break. Finally, you can have some fun in the games room, with its table tennis, pool tables, and a number of other facilities.

    Food and drink 6.45 /10

    The hotel has 2 bars: one is in the lobby lounge and the other is on the same site as the swimming pool. The restaurant serves buffet meals, open for breakfast from 8:00am to 11:30am and for dinner from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Dinners are prepared to a different theme every evening, with Mexican, Italian, and Asian specialities on the menu. It provides an ideal opportunity to eat your way around the world! The ground floor bar opens every evening from 7:00pm to 1:00am. The swimming pool bar serves drinks and snacks (sandwiches, pizzas, etc.) and keeps to the same opening hours as the swimming pool, i.e. 10:00am to 7:00pm.
