The Coralia Club Bucanero is located on the shore, 25 miles from Santiago de Cuba. It is particularly well-located in Baconao Park and close to downtown.
Rooms offer simple comfort and a sober decor. They are middle-sized, air conditioned, and include satellite television, telephone and bathroom with shower. They have no minibar.
Built in 1986 and renovated in 1999, the Coralia Club Bucanero includes 8 two-story buildings and 200 rooms. If you prefer a quiet room, request the rooms closest to the beach; however, in return, you will have to walk longer to go to the restaurant or swimming pool.
Food and drink
The buffet restaurant (with a terrace overlooking the sea) offers eight main courses in high season. The choice of dishes is much more limited in low season. During dinner, you will find yourself singing along the tune of Let It Be, played on the piano by a Cuban musician.
Bucanero Beach does not resemble the infinitely long Varadero Beaches. This is what makes it special. This small sand paradise is hidden in an almost wild creek with waters agitated by invigorating waves. It is accessed through a path along the cliff. The beach is well-equipped in marine gear. A wooden bar on piles overlooks the beach.
This club hotel is operated by the French chain Accor. Its manager is French, and approximately one-third of its staff speaks the language of Molière. Additionally, this is one of the rare club hotels in the area to offer dinners served under the stars on a terrace overlooking rocks and the sea.
