The Gran Hotel Lar has a total of 137 guest rooms, including 6 on each floor, that overlook the square and have a balcony, rather small but nevertheless serving its purpose. The decor in the rooms consists of green carpeting (the same as you'll find in the corridors), white walls, and olde-worlde furniture that notably includes a greenish armchair, a wooden desk, a minibar, and a headboard in the same colour. You'll find an additional bedspread in the wardrobe should you need it. A safe is provided but there is a charge for using it, and the television could be a little bigger. All of the rooms also come with a trouser press and a sewing kit. If you're looking for something more spacious, go for one of the suites, which come with a separate lounge area, tea and coffee-making facilities, and even a dressing room. The bathrooms, meanwhile, are decked out in blue and white azulejo tiles depicting birds and come with dryers, a selection of hospitality products, and pairs of slippers, though it has to be said that the lighting in here is not the most pleasant.
