Located between the historical districts of La Macarena and Santa Cruz, the Posada del Lucero is a small hotel which combines history and modernity. Dating back to the 16th Century, it was the oldest 'posada' inn in Spain and it is now classed as a historical monument. Today, its panoramic terrace has a swimming pool to cool down in from May to October.

The hotel is located on Calle Almirante Apocada, a lively street with lots of traffic near to Plaza de la Encarnation (Square), the departure point for numerous buses, between the historical districts of La Macarena and Santa Cruz. The cathedral and its famous Giralda and the Alcazar Palace are a 10-minute walk away, and Don Pablo international airport is some 9 and a half mi away, so allow 20 minutes for transfers.
The decor in the rooms of the Posada del Lucero is understated, with no paintings or special decorative features, and no windows. As in the rest of the hotel, the same combination of ancient architecture (18th-Century brick ceiling arch) and modern design is present. The rooms also have a marble floor, and are provided with a satellite television (26 channels), individual air-conditioning, a mini-bar fridge, a direct telephone line, free WiFi internet access, a free electronic safe, a desk and an armchair. As for the bathroom, its black and white colour scheme is cutting-edge, it has a bathtub with a flexible shower and a large fixed tropical shower head (or a large shower but no bath), a toilet, a bidet, a hair-dryer, hospitality products, tissues and a telephone. Room service is available from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. The suite also has a lounge separated from the bedroom by a sliding door, with a king-sized bed and a large plasma screen television.
The Posada del Lucero opened in 2006 and it houses 39 rooms in a 2-floor building which dates back to the 16th Century! It is the oldest 'posada' inn in Spain and its ancient layout with its patio, archways and pillars has been combined with a new, ultra-modern design in a peaceful, hushed atmosphere. The pillars and brick walls are part of the original building. The building is served by two lifts that can take you right up to the roof, where you will find a wooden solarium terrace with a small 3 ft by 16 ft swimming pool which is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from May to October.
The Posada del Lucero does not really have a restaurant, but breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 10:30 am in the cocina del Guadarmes and taken in a beautiful room decorated with 16th Century ceramics. The bar is open for drinks from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm in the bodega del Guadarmes.
Free internet access is available in a pleasant lounge area with magnificent, original-16th Century wooden doors. The panoramic terrace has a swimming pool which is perfect for cooling down in during the heat of the summer from May to October..

The Vime Corregidor is a good value, unpretentious hotel, ideally located a stone's throw away from Hercules esplanade, Duque de la Victoria square and Sierpes street, in the heart of the historical city. You will enjoy spending time relaxing on its flower-filled patio.
This three-star establishment, which belongs to the 'Casas y Palacios de España' group, could barely be in a better geographical location than its address at the heart of Seville. The interior design features a combination of Andalusian items and more classic decorative objects. The guest rooms, which are spread over three floors accessed via a lift, are spacious and practical. The pleasant inner courtyard is brightly lit through its vaulted, coloured-glass roof, and is the perfect place to sit with a book or just unwind with a little something to drink. However, the breakfast room and lobby have a somewhat cold appearance.
The Petit Palace Santa Cruz is a small establishment ideally located at the heart of Seville in the historical district of Santa Cruz and just a stone's throw from the cathedral. It offers an excellent level of service exemplified by the computer with a free Internet connection in every room. Combining style, history and modernity, it is a well located base for couples, families, or groups of friends wanting to explore the main sights of the city.
The EME Fusion is a stylish, ultra-modern hotel hidden away in a building typical of the historical district of Santa Cruz, just opposite the Giralda. It could hardly be in a better location! This is a luxury hotel with a grand total of four restaurants, a superb spa and two swimming pools: a heated one in the spa and another on the panoramic terrace overlooking the Giralda. It also is one of Seville's more fashionable addresses, popular with locals who like to enjoy a cocktail and take in the best view in town.
Casa Romana is a small, charming, family boutique hotel located on Trajano street, next to the Hercules esplanade in the old town. The building itself dates back to the 18th century and its striking patio, adorned with a fountain, immediately conjures up an Andalusian atmosphere. Also worthy of note is the large whirlpool bath and solarium terrace on the roof of the hotel.
The charming Casas del Rey de Baeza resembles a Moroccan riad. Its two small floral courtyards, where guests can enjoy the hotel's first-class cuisine as they are lulled by the gentle sound of a nearby fountain, the scent of orange blossom lingering in the air, make for enchanting and extremely peaceful surroundings, whilst the small spa and panoramic rooftop swimming pool will guarantee a relaxing stay. Needless to say, this is certainly one our favourites in Seville!
This charming boutique hotel stands in the Judería district and is British-owned. Its 6 guest rooms are all different and it's clear that a great deal of time and effort was been put into the renovation of this former private residence, which dates back to the 17th century. If you're not very familiar with the city, the staff here will be happy to offer up countless options and ideas when it comes to getting out and exploring the more authentic side of the city. Music-lovers, too, will be delighted to find that the rooms come with their own musical instruments, along with musical programmes specially designed for guests at the Corral del Rey. The bar, meanwhile, also serves as an exhibition space for various painters and photographers throughout the year.

Great attention has been paid to every last detail, from the furniture to the materials used, not forgetting the combination of shapes and colours. As soon as you set foot inside the hotel you'll find yourself in a modern Andalusian-style courtyard with a small fountain and stylish furniture with a very pleasant feel to it. You are also sure to receive a very heartfelt welcome here and should feel free to ask at reception should you have any questions or queries whatsoever. The inside part of the breakfast room is also worth special mention. All that's really missing is a nice pool for swimming a few lengths on a hot summer's day!
