From the exterior gives a rather good account of the hotel with its tall palm trees flanking the entrance but then the rather bizarre and underwhelming snail themed fountain on the small square just in front of the hotel. The humble, characterless lobby, whose reception desk is on the left, just next to the hotels two shops (jewellery and provisions), features a seating area as well as a bar straddling both the hall and the restaurant which is adjacent to it. The hotel has two swimming pools: a main one with a separate kids pool and another smaller one which is heated in winter. The main pool, which is rather peaceful, seemed, on our visit anyway, to be favoured by the older guests of the hotel and there were no spare sun beds going. Due to the very close proximity of the surrounding buildings, the sun dips below them rather early. The smaller pool does have the right number of sun beds, however if everyone lazing around the edge were to get into the pool, it would be quite cosy! The wellness centre is home to a rather musty smelling gym with just a few machines, two featureless massage rooms, a sauna which looks brand spanking new, a rather large, albeit grubby hammam, a jacuzzi and a beauty salon. The animation team consists of just two members, however the enthusiasm of the girl we met was contagious and the hotel's staff could do worse than to take a page out of her book. The team split their time between the two hotels where during the day they keep everyone occupied with exploits such as water polo, group dancing and bingo tournaments, while in the evening there is the show which could feature a singer, belly dancing or karaoke. As well as the diving centre which trains its students in the hotel pool, there is a table tennis table, a tennis court and a billiard room. For children there is a play area with nicely made wooden structures, however parents must supervise their kids at all time as there are no staff to survey the area. There is both a clinic and pharmacy on the premises. The general upkeep of the hotel is fairly good, although sometimes a bit rough around the edges, such as the surround of the main swimming pool. What greenery there is is nicely maintained and the outdoor spaces of the Falcon Hills can be very agreeable.
