A surprisingly very attractive resort with all the amenities a guest should expect from a holiday in the sun. Whilst retaining the Egyptian touch, the Laguna Vista Beach resort is elegant and relaxing whilst staying extremely varied in its bars and places for guests to relax, giving the area a real village feel. One of the most, if not the most attractive resort we have visited, the Laguna Vista Beach is definitely in our top 5.

    The Laguna Vista Beach is located in the heart of Nabq Bay, close to a developing shopping arcade.

    Accommodation 8.20 /10

    The rooms are finished to a high standard. Although simple, the interior decoration is classic. Some rooms even have a private pool. There are also round private villas to rent close to the beach with grass roofs which look very pleasant and intimate. The large corridors to the rooms can feel a little eerie as they are often empty and every sound echoes throughout. The only deception here is the soap and shampoo which comes in pumps attached to the walls as opposed to a selection of toiletries.

    The resort opened in 2000 and has since been very well maintained. It has 368 rooms, making it less cramped than other resorts in the area. A great effort to retain an Egyptian touch has been made in the lobby, where Formica ruins create an elegant and fresh atmosphere. The lobby bar, although quite dark, is also elegant in its African safari theme. Once outside, the view of the sparkling sea captivates the guests and lures them to explore the pools in the foreground. The two main pools are spread over several levels and are surrounded by Formica rock formations making the area less bland. The gardens that surround the pools are green and very well kempt which renders the stay very relaxing. The resort has lots of terraces which gives the guests a good choice of places to relax. Most of the buildings are a sandy terracotta colour towards the upper end of the site. The buildings have grass roofs as the site unravels towards the sea which helps create a relaxed atmosphere without mounds of imposing concrete blocks. A real effort has been made to preserve a natural aspect.

    Food and drink 7.20 /10

    The resort has a main restaurant and an ą la carte restaurant by the beach which looks extremely pleasant: the Dua Dua (Italian). There is also the elegant Which Way Bar surrounded by a water feature, which serves snacks.

    Wide and sandy, it feels private due to the lack of activity here which is very relaxing. On the beach here, guests feel like they are really on holiday. On the beach, there lies something that we have never seen at another resort in Sharm: the Pataya Nightclub. In the evenings the wooden galleries of seating is transformed under the many spotlights! Although small, the outdoor nightclub even has its own pool on the beach! The rest of the beach does look a little abandoned which isn't a bad thing if you are looking for peace and quiet! The resort guests can use the neighbouring resort's jetty which is fairly long, but which gives access to the coral for snorkelling. Across the Nabq Bay walkway which lines all the beaches in the area, towards the hotel, there are some fun-looking restaurants giving the Laguna Vista Beach a real village feel.

    The Laguna Vista Beach has a second hotel in Nabq Bay, which is just across the road: the Laguna Vista Garden (see our hotel review). The resort has a very well equipped and very clean and relaxing health club, which cannot be said of most resorts in the area. Products of the Dolmen brand are used. It has a huge indoor pool surrounded by large bay windows.

        struttura veramente sporca,personale scontroso,assistenza swan tour scarsa, animazione inesistente, cibo pessimo, ristoranti arredi bar camere tutto veramente sporco, navetta per la spiaggia mai vista.

      Behind a lobby which desperately needs a refurbishment, hides a fantastic aqua park! Ideal for families, the Park Inn also has two main pools away from the water slide madness for guests needing a little peace and quiet. Although the resort has some good outdoor facilities, the interiors could do with being a little cleaner.

      A friendly hotel designed to combine Ancient Egyptian architecture with contemporary design. The only resort in Sharm el Sheikh which can claim to look Egyptian is El Hayat. Fun yet could be seen as slightly cheesy, the designers here have taken the temple concept to new heights! On two levels, the resort feels a little cramped for sunbathing and it is not on the beach. El Hayat makes for a nice stay in Sharm but can feel a little claustrophobic due to the buildings being close to the pools, thus not leaving much open space.

      Very small and intimate, the Laguna Vista Garden is perfect to get away from it all. Guests stay in quaint round private villas planted around a green flowery garden.       The Oriental Resort is a relaxing version of a large resort. Its gardens divide up the large concrete buildings making the stay more pleasant.
