The Ritz Carlton is a luxury hotel offering quality services in relaxing and carefully designed surroundings. The atmosphere is a little bit cold and the lack of a real beach is a distinct disadvantage.

Location
The Ritz Carlton is built on the seafront, 2 miles from the old town of Sharm El Sheikh and 9 miles from the tourist centre in Naama Bay. Sharm el Sheikh airport is 4.5 miles away. The surrounding area of the hotel is occupied by a vast construction site which is constantly under development.
Accommodation
8.70/10
The 307 rooms (which boast balconies or terraces) are divided in two types: standard or suites (48). All are very spacious, offering complete comfort and decor that is always carefully designed, though sometimes it is ornate. With a terrace overlooking the sea, the gardens or the pool, they are each equipped with air conditioning, television (18 channels), telephone for direct overseas calls, a mini-bar and a safe. The bathroom has a bathtub (sometimes a shower) and a hair-dryer.
Overview
7.70/10
Open in December 1999, the Ritz Carlton consists of 14 buildings, all one storey, spreading over 25 acres of gardens. The large size of the area justifies the use of shuttles that run constantly from one path to another, from the reception to the rooms, from the bar to the beach or from the beach to the pool.
Food and drink
8.45/10
The hotel has four restaurants. All in white, the main restaurant offers international cuisine of high quality (buffet style dinner) indoors or outdoors. The other three restaurants serve Asian, Italian and Lebanese specialties respectively. The hotel also has four bars, including three snack bars found at the swimming pool, in the lobby and in the cigar area.
Beach
6.70/10
It consists of several tiny beaches, small artificial coves dug straight into the rocky ground. The sand there is the size of gravel and entering the water is impossible because of the sharp corals, which litter the bottom. Access to the water is far out to sea along cement pontoons. It is for this reason that water activities are absent from the site.
To know
The presence of corals makes it difficult to enter the water. For this reason, water sports are enjoyed in Naama Bay. The customers are mostly Swiss, German and Russian.
Quaint, quiet and compact. That's the Sharm Inn Amarein in a nut shell. This unassuming little hotel proves that very often good things do indeed come in small packages. It offers a lot for a hotel of its size and is one of the best little hotels in the area. If you're looking to get away for a week as a couple and want peace and quiet and a wide choice of activities then this is the place for you.
A simple and pleasant hotel which is very popular among tourists for its small size and the comfort it offers. It is ideal for divers and groups of friends.
One of two sister hotels right next to one another, the Dreams Beach Resort is a large complex right on the Red Sea. The hotel is fairly basic in terms of its quality but does have all the facilities to ensure an enjoyable family break. Offering great choice, buckets of space and a great beach, this hotel would suit those families looking for a lively atmosphere looking to get away for a week or so.
This modest mid-range hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a quiet time in Sharm el Sheikh. While this is not one of the top hotels in the area, it is certainly a pleasant place to spend your holiday with agreeable surroundings and very friendly staff.
Despite its name claiming the contrary, this hotel is not enormous, but in fact is just the right size if you are a couple coming away for a relaxing week away from the UK. It offers peace and quiet as well as all round good service and is of a decent size when taking into consideration the number of rooms in this hotel. A sound choice for your Sharm break.
One of the 'first line' hotels in Sharm el Sheikh, the Shores Amphoras is a large complex on the sea front with all the facilities one looks for in a hotel, and then some. It can cater to pretty much any holiday-makers' needs whether they be friends, family, or couples. The hotel offers a wide range of possibilities in terms of food, accommodation and activities and is a well kept, well run establishment. You could do a lot worse if you are looking for a mid- to top-end place to stay in this part o the world.
Perfectly maintained, this hotel facility offers luxury and refinement. With its shaded gardens, many fountains and outdoor jacuzzi, it is the ideal place to relax.
The Jaz Belvedere Hotel is easily one of Sharm el Sheikh best quality resorts. With its beautiful interiors and very well maintained exteriors, the Belvedere is more of a hotel than a resort. Directly on the beach, the hotel is small enough to retain intimacy and large enough not to feel claustrophobic after a week. The Belvedere is definitely one of our favourites.
This gargantuan complex is quite simply in a class of its own. You can take any aspect of the hotel, its rooms, its spa, its eateries, its views or its staff and you'll find everything is top draw. If it is top of the range you are after for in Sharm then you can't go far wrong in choosing the Royal Oasis, perfect for couples and families looking for the very best in service and facilities in a setting to die for.
One of the classier outfits in Sharm el Sheikh, the Royal Grand Sharm offers the complete package to guests looking for that little bit extra from their hotel. Perky staff, a beautifully kept environment and convivial atmosphere make this a natural choice for both couples and families. This mid- to high-end establishment is extremely comfortable and is recommended wholly by Easyvoyage.
Quiet and pleasant, this hotel is ideal for couples and diving fans. However, it is poorly adapted for a family-style vacation due to the absence of a kid's club.
An all-round good quality hotel compared to most hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. The extension of the Hilton Shark's Bay is neat and well maintained and is separate from the original part of the resort. There is also nothing Egyptian about the place; one could be anywhere in the world. This part of the hotel lacks in atmosphere but is relaxing and guests are guaranteed a fairly good quality room.
The Oriental Rivoli is without doubt one of the classiest hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. Its sumptuous decoration must be the finest in the resort and all of its services exude quality, from its staff to its food. Best suited for couples or groups of friends, due to its lack of animation or a kids club, it is the perfect place for relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation. Recommended whole-heartedly by Easyvoyage!
