Located in the heart of the tourist area of Naama Bay, this hotel offers simple comfort, combined with diving activities, with friends or family. However, it really lacks charm.
Located in the centre of Naama Bay, about 8.5 miles from the airport and 4.5 miles from Sharm el Sheikh.
The first part of the hotel is composed solely of standard rooms. The rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, television, telephone, a mini-bar (empty), a bathroom with a hair dryer and a shower and a tiny balcony with two lawn chairs. They are simply decorated with bright wooden furniture and bedding matching the red-orange curtains. On the upper floors, the Rosetta Hills is composed of apartments of various sizes and decorated in the same tones.
The Tropicana Rosetta, renovated in late 2006, is composed of several bungalows on the ground floor, housing in total 358 rooms. The exterior architecture lacks taste: the white cubic buildings have blue stripes. There is little vegetation with a few palms. The lobby of the hotel, which has a low ceiling, gives a suffocating feeling despite the presence of a coloured glass ceiling. In the midst of bungalows, two of the three pools are surrounded by a kind of green carpet on which deckchairs and sunshades are made available. The Alla Den Mini club is for children aged 3 to 12 years and is located in a large coloured room, with plenty of amenities, but there are no animators. Right in front, children can also enjoy a small swimming pool.
The main restaurant provides half-board service, buffet style that lacks much variety: some raw vegetables as appetizers, chicken, pasta and rice as warm dishes. In theory every evening there is a different theme for the buffet, however this is not always the case. Two à la carte restaurants offer Egyptian specialties in a Bedouin tent (where an oriental show takes place two evenings a week) or a Chinese restaurant. Several bars, including a nightclub, give guests an opportunity to refresh.
To get to the beach, you have to cross the road and walk for about five minutes. It is located 490 feet from the hotel. Deckchairs and sunshades are free for guests. However, they are a little too close to one another and the beach is not very big. You can access the water directly from the beach. The surface is reasonably level but because of the corals it is recommended to wear shoes.
A safe is available at the reception.
Our advice in terms of accommodation:
Ask for a room in the blocks 8 or 9 close to the star-shaped swimming pool. A little away from the reception, they are a little quieter.
massage, beauty salon, sauna, Turkish bath
water-polo, fitness
You will appreciate the tranquility of the Eldorador Fanara beach and its location near the Ras Mohammed underwater park. Perfect for scuba diving fans.
Located in the very centre of the city, the Falcon Al Diar is a small, friendly, charming and very simple hotel. It is perfect for couples, preferably those without children. The nearest beach is a five-minute walk away.
The Royal Paradise is a hotel offering an animated and joyous family atmosphere. Unfortunately, it uses outdated equipment, its gardens are not particularly well kept and there is no real beach.
Like many hotels in the area, the Royal Rojana Resort is built on a site suitable for diving. Fans of underwater sightseeing and water sports will find their calling here and children will be happy with the playground.
The Oriental Resort is a relaxing version of a large resort. Its gardens divide up the large concrete buildings making the stay more pleasant. There is a spa worth mentioning for its high quality treatments and good organisation. The Oriental is ideal for a week-long stay with the family or a group of friends. Couples may be seeking a little more peace and intimacy.
The Pyramisa hotel is a large, fairly old hotel facility. Its large swimming pool, numerous restaurants and the many activities are suitable for family holidays.
The Villas Framissima are perfect for family holidays in a green and very pleasant ambiance. The all inclusive package adds charm to the stay in that you can have a quick snack or a drink without worrying about forking out more money. A wide range of sports activities can also be enjoyed.
The Oriental Rivoli is without doubt one of the classiest hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. Its sumptuous decoration must be the finest in the resort and all of its services exude quality, from its staff to its food. Best suited for couples or groups of friends, due to its lack of animation or a kids club, it is the perfect place for relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation. Recommended whole-heartedly by Easyvoyage!
Perfectly maintained, this hotel facility offers luxury and refinement. With its shaded gardens, many fountains and outdoor jacuzzi, it is the ideal place to relax.
The Jaz Belvedere Hotel is easily one of Sharm el Sheikh best quality resorts. With its beautiful interiors and very well maintained exteriors, the Belvedere is more of a hotel than a resort. Directly on the beach, the hotel is small enough to retain intimacy and large enough not to feel claustrophobic after a week. The Belvedere is definitely one of our favourites.
This gargantuan complex is quite simply in a class of its own. You can take any aspect of the hotel, its rooms, its spa, its eateries, its views or its staff and you'll find everything is top draw. If it is top of the range you are after for in Sharm then you can't go far wrong in choosing the Royal Oasis, perfect for couples and families looking for the very best in service and facilities in a setting to die for.
Fully equipped, this hotel offers exclusive comfort in a pleasant setting. Ideal for a week of relaxation.
Quiet and pleasant, this hotel is ideal for couples and diving fans. However, it is poorly adapted for a family-style vacation due to the absence of a kid's club.
An all-round good quality hotel compared to most hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. The extension of the Hilton Shark's Bay is neat and well maintained and is separate from the original part of the resort. There is also nothing Egyptian about the place; one could be anywhere in the world. This part of the hotel lacks in atmosphere but is relaxing and guests are guaranteed a fairly good quality room.
One of the classier outfits in Sharm el Sheikh, the Royal Grand Sharm offers the complete package to guests looking for that little bit extra from their hotel. Perky staff, a beautifully kept environment and convivial atmosphere make this a natural choice for both couples and families. This mid- to high-end establishment is extremely comfortable and is recommended wholly by Easyvoyage.
