The Marhaba Royal Salem can be proud of its location right next to the water, since many of its competitors have had to settle for being one row back, on the other side of a busy street. You just have to cross the park to be able to dig your toes in the fine sand of the large beach, which is quite terrific despite the number of tourists during high season and the dykes intended to keep it from receding. In fact, it even has the honour of holding a Scandinavian 'Blue Flag' quality label. Equipped with everything you need to sit back and relax (plastic deckchairs, mattresses and parasols), the beach also has a snack bar and toilets. A nearby water sports centre makes it possible to try out some different activities for an additional fee: banana and pedalo boating, jet-skiing, parasailing, ringo rides, waterskiing, etc.
