A family hotel by the sea. You can go with young children, the rates and accommodation are designed for them.
Along Saint-Clement's Coast Road, 1.5 miles from Saint Helier and the ferry terminal (a 5-minute journey). The airport is located 6 miles away (a 20-minute journey).
There are 52 rooms and 12 self-catering apartments. Among the rooms, 3 can accomodate 3 people. Only 4 rooms have a balcony (they overlook the road and have a sea view). As for the situation you either overlook the sea or the garden, or are above the parking lot. Choose a room with garden view so that you cannot hear the road noise. The design is simple: walls painted in light colours, a watercolour landscape on a sea theme, and contemporary furniture. The bathrooms have a shower or bath, a hairdryer and small welcome products. There is a small-screen television. There is no minibar and the safe is at the reception. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided, a direct telephone, and fan on request.
The leisure facilties are certainly a priority in this hotel. An outdoor pool in a garden courtyard shaped by the building; a covered pool just next to it, under a pine structure fixed to exposed stone walls. Note its non-Olympic dimensions: 23 x 10 ft outside, 26 x 13 ft inside. But the residents also have free access to a hammam and a jacuzzi. The lawn in the courtyard is meticulously maintained. You would almost refuse the wooden tables and chairs set out on the terrace so that you could picnic in the grass. You can eat on your lounger, but you need to order at the snack bar. Bath towels are provided.
The restaurant is located in a hall with bay windows facing the sea. In the morning there is a buffet with all the makings of a continental breakfast. Toasts, omelettes and baked beans are served at the table, as well as hot beverages. Dinner is served as a set menu, with a choice of 4 starters, main courses, and desserts. Cheese is served at the end. At lunchtime, the snack bar by the pool offers sandwiches, chips and omelettes.
Once you have crossed the road, you can get to the beach of Greve d'Azette. There is plenty of space: 1 mile long by 330 feet wide at high tide. At low tide, and given the strong coefficient that holds sway in the Channel Islands, it is a bit of a trek to the water's edge. There are no facilities for hire or watersports on this beach. Take your own equipment. The sand, a light ochre colour, is medium coarse. The sea is full of stony outcrops and there are also a few rocks in the water.
Children under 3 go free (room with parents and breakfast).
If you want to prepare your own lunch and dinner, choose the self-catering apartments (with equipped kitchen). 12 of them overlook the garden (quieter than the sea view rooms which overlook the road). Choose the ground floor: the terrace, which overlooks the lawn, has more space than the balcony upstairs.
Like many seaside hotels, the Samares Coast is not open all year round: only from March to October.

The Pomme d'Or is one of the best-located hotels in Saint-Helier. Perfect for a weekend's shopping (Queens and Kings Street are 5 minutes away on foot) or for a relaxing week between town and beach, because the hotel is not far from the seafront.
The Queens is a lively hotel, with few rooms, and well-maintained facilities. It is neither in the town centre nor by the sea, but it makes up for its lack of location with access to the pool of a partner hotel 820 ft away.
Here, you can eat well, sleep well in comfortable rooms, and enjoy the services of a large hotel group. Managed by the chain Best Western, the Royal Hotel is close enough to the town centre to be within easy reach of Saint Helier by foot.
The Apollo is a town hotel close to the centre of Saint-Helier (which can be reached on foot). In comparison to the others, it also offers a fun pool with slide. Children will love it!
This hotel is fine for a weekend all year round. There is a courtesy shuttle for shopping in the town, you can relax around the covered pool, and you can make up your own programme of spa treatments.
This is one of the best hotels in Jersey for its traditional charm, central location and restaurants, which are as popular with holidaymakers as with the locals in Saint-Helier.
This little hotel is perfect for a weekend in Saint-Helier. Some family rooms. Reasonable prices. Go to shop or to see a festival.
No unnecessary luxury, rooms with basic level of comfort - but the sea view is breathtaking and several attractions can be reached on foot: the promenade and pool of the Havre des Pas, marina, the shopping streets in Saint-Helier.

This is a great hotel for a weekend break at any time of year. No need for a car, because it is a stone's throw from the shops and restaurants in the little village of Saint-Aubin. Also close by: Portelet Bay and Saint-Brelade beach.

A calm strip of water (in summer) surrounded by an abundance of ferns and oaks: a hotel occupying a prime site by the sea. There is no surrounding noise, even during high season. The Water's Edge is one of the rare seaside hotels in Jersey where you can be truly remote.

Here is a hotel which we recommend if you want to come to Jersey to get away from everything... and have a couple of excursions or an afternoon on the beach. Because the hotel - if you are willing to rent a car - is not far from Saint-Helier and the seaside.
