    Location 3.0 /10

The hotel is located in the place name Mont-Vernon, on the heights. It dominates the northern extremity of the long Orient Bay beach. Grand Case restaurants are located a 5 minute drive away, Juliana international airport is 8 miles (30 minutes) from it, Marigot, the "French capital", is 6 miles and Philipsburg, in the Dutch sector, is 5 miles away.

    Accommodation 7.70 /10

Accommodations are divided into "junior suites" of 430 ft² for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children and "Atlantic suites" of 970 ft² for 4 adults and 1 child less than 12 years old. While the junior rooms offer a view of the ocean or the garden, all the "Atlantics" have a view of the sea. Both types have comfortable terraces fitted with two chairs and table, lounge area, satellite television (with European and American channels), separate air-conditioning, a fridge and a safe. While the junior suites have a shower, the Atlantic suites have a bathtub, hairdryer, two rooms, a sink and a bar counter. The decor is simple and the furniture is made of rattan. The whole structure is rather unoriginal and the junior suites have a disadvantage - no dividers at night.

    Overview 7.95 /10

Ten two-storey buildings and one of three, all lengthwise, are ligned up like a staircase facing the Atlantic. In simple Creole style, they comprise the 348 rooms and suites that can be accessed via long alleys miserably laid with concrete. The estate is so vast that the vegetation presents a rather ugly view and the lawns, with patchy grass, seem to occupy more space. The large lobby, illuminated and beautifully decorated with wood and rattan furniture, the evening restaurant and one of the two bars with Venetian shutters that let in soft rays are located in an imposing Creole-style building. The comfortable pool, the bar and restaurant (for lunch) that overlooks the beach are located on the beautiful teak terrace below. A small group of recreation directors will arrange some sporting activities, tournaments and games at a quiet pace.

    Food and drink 7.70 /10

For lunch, you will have to choose between "The Sloop", built on a beautiful terrace facing the ocean, not far from the beach and the swimming pool, and "The Créole", the main restaurant with a pleasant and bright dining room designed like a patio. There you will equally eat your breakfast and dinner. It serves both Creole and French dishes, its menu is varied. A cosy, colonial-style bar with billiards will be open to you in the evenings.

    Beach 8.95 /10

The Orient Bay beach is 5 minutes away on foot from Mont-Vernon. It is the longest and liveliest in Saint Martin. On more than 1.5 miles of fine sand, it is suitable for all categories of visitors: families, sportsmen, the trendy and even nudists in its furthest part to the south. Unquestionably, it is the best equipped on the island with several water sport centres, massage stands and a Nathalie Simon windsurfing club, in particular. On the hotel's sand perimetre are many deckchairs and large parasols. The big pool, the restaurant reserved for lunch and the bar are close by, on a spacious terrace made of teak equipped with shower cabins and toilets, one of which is reserved for the disabled.
