This brand new, very beautiful hotel opened in April 2007, becoming Reunion Island's fifth 4 star hotel. The owners, an architect and an interior designer, really have created a masterpiece here. This becomes clear as soon as you enter the attractive reception area, set under a wonderful wooden framework and open to the outside via a series of louvered shutters. Given the waiting time on busier days, you'll have plenty of time to admire this charming room. If you really want to be impressed, though, you just have to step outside. The hotel's 2 infinity pools, one of which is heated, are built one above the other, and appear to flow right into the ocean, creating a vast blue horizon. These huge pools are perfect for paddling, swimming lengths, or even enjoying a massage under the waterfall, without ever having to disturb anyone. Children also have their own pool located in a small garden next to the adult pool. All of the pools enjoy a spectacular setting at the heart of the hotel's vast palm-planted grounds, surrounded on all sides by terraces and gardens that are perfect for basking in the sun. A little further along, a series of walkways lead off to the villas housing the guest rooms. The hotel offers many facilities, so it won't feel as though guests are stepping on each other's toes. Underneath the restaurant and the bar, for example, you'll find a gym, several conference rooms, and even a games room, all of which are pleasant enough but a little dark and isolated.
Last but not least is the stylish but friendly little spa, which is very popular among both guests at the hotel and locals, perhaps because of the very charming and 'Zen' inner courtyard it conceals. The materials used here are 100% natural and relaxation comes in various forms, from the hammam, mineral massage facility, and jacuzzi, to the extensive treatment list.
