Of course this masseria is not a working farmhouse. There probably used to be a farm on the land, with crops somewhere. Today, however, it is a modern establishment that opened in 2012; two low buildings opposite one another with a large lawn and olive trees between them. Behind another building is the restaurant, a bar, and the kitchens and communal facilities. As it is brand new, the greenery is lacking around the buildings. However, you can count on Mother Nature to change that since she seems to have a soft spot for the Puglia region.
The reception is found in one of the apartments, amidst the others. At first glance you might think that the restaurant is oversized and that the owner is expecting plenty of outside diners. But when you think about it, the 20 apartments can all comfortably accommodate 4 people. It adds up: 80 people. That requires space. Which is not a problem thanks to the huge terraces. At the other end of the restaurant, the bar and its terrace overlook the swimming pool which, at 16m long, is a decent size. There are also plans to install a gym, as well as a games room and a music room. The San Domenico golf course is nearby. Horse rides along the beaches and through the countryside are available at the riding centre a mile away.
