Built in a large park with trees, the Imperial hotel is one of the few hotels on the Dalmatian coast that features a true entertainment team. Therefore, this hotel is recommended to families with children, and to those who enjoy long walks: there are two natural parks in the vicinity.

The Imperial hotel is located in Vodice, a small port and seaside city, at a few minutes from the city centre. Zadar airport, which is your entry airport, is 37 miles away (allow 1 hour for transfers).
The 440 rooms (190 square feet) all have balconies and overlook the sea (50%) or parking area. Furniture is basic and sturdy. The rooms have satellite television, individual air conditioning, direct telephone with international access, and mini-bar. The mix of pink and red tones may appear surprising. Bathtub in the bathroom. There is a safe at the front desk.
Built in 1971 and renovated in 1999, the Imperial includes a massive, cold, rectangular main building, 5 storeys with elevator, and five small, white, more attractive bungalows with 28 rooms each. In total, the hotel accommodates up to 920 people in a large park, well-equipped for sports enthusiasts. Nice pine forest.
Food and drink
The main restaurant dining room is large (up to 1,000 guests) and bright, and opens onto a large terrace. The chef serves varied international and Croatian cuisine: fish or meat (lamb and beef) flavoured with olive oil and spices. Pork is served as ham or sausage, always excellent. Meals often include salad, Swiss chard, and potatoes. A well-stocked buffet is served for breakfast. Purple and green are the dominating colours in the cafe located on the ground floor. The hotel also includes 2 snack bars: one on the beach, and the other on the hotel compound.
The nearby pebble beach (800 feet away) is long, well-equipped, and accessed through a shady alley. Available: deckchairs, showers, and a few trees providing shade. There is also a snack bar. Nice nautical base.
Guests are primarily East-European, German, and Italian.
