Discover The Tehran museums Iran

The Ethnographic Museum lies in one of the rare open buildings of Golestan palace. They contain objects used daily in the country, dating back to the 18th century Qajar dynasty. The Museum of Decorative Arts hosts a collection of artefacts of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Abgineh Museum exhibits glass and ceramics works dating back from the Achaemenidae era to the 19th century. Pottery and bronzeware of the 10th and 11th centuries BC, Mede and Achaemenidae gold jewellery and vases are all collected at the Reza-Abbasi Museum. Worth seeing equally is the Modern Art Museum for its temporary exhibitions of Iranian artists and the Carpet Museum for its 19th and 20th century kilims.
