Palazzo Reale in Naples dates back to the 17th century. You will be amazed by the height and vastness of this ancient royal residence, notably the front which is abundantly decorated with statutes of all the leaders of Naples. Castel Nuovo, at piazza Municipio dates back to the 13th century. It is bordered by impressive fortifications. Do not miss the spectacular arches at the entrance or the frescoes and sculptures used to decorate the interior. Also see the Capodimonte, another palace found at the top of the city, in a park sharing the same name.
