Teramo is a small city to the north of the Abruzzo region. A very old city, it was baptised Interamnia by the Romans because it is bathed in the waters of two rivers, the Tordino and the Vezzola. It is a city which has preserved very little of its past, but you only have to take a walk around the narrow streets of the old city or visit the cathedral to feel the fascination of its bygone atmosphere. Archaeological digs beside the church have brought to light the remainders of the Roman amphitheatre and theatre.
