The Noto-Hanto peninsula, lies in the north of Honshu, and displays an indented coastline covered with wild lands. It is not a tourist destination and the traditional lifestyle of the people is very much present. The less developed west coast is definitely more interesting. Dozens of festivals take place in the area.
