To admire the Kilimanjaro, head to Amboseli Park, the only park that offers the classic image of a herd of elephants gathering underneath the shadow of the impressive Mount Kilimanjaro. A grand spectacle, the highest summit in Africa is often covered with cloud, but it tends to disperse in the early morning or at sunset, which is perfect for taking pictures. Amboseli wildlife is abundant, but difficult to observe, as vehicles are not authorised to stray from the beaten track.
