Karen Blixen's house was built in 1917 and was converted into a small museum in 1985. The property also contains a charming restaurant. The house, which was used in the film 'Out of Africa', is decorated with photos illustrating different times in the life of the heroine. The visit takes you through the house room by room, from the bedroom through to the office and into the dining room. The decor and layout have been very well preserved, and a few accessories and tools used in the making of the film are also on show.
