Amy Adejokun Expert destination Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital, is a beautiful city above the sea (2,645 feet above sea level) blued in the horizon by the snowy mountains of the Alatau chain. Fresh and young, it was built in the 19th century by the Soviets: it is wonderfully green with its uncountable trees planted along its streets. Bishkek has a few interesting sites like the history museum relating the Manas epic and its interesting collection of arms, jewels and Kyrgtz costumes. Also visit the home of Frunze, an officer of the Red Guard and the statute of Lenin, still found in Alatau square.
