Discover Sultan Adrian Souli's tomb Mayotte

Go to Sultan Adrian Souli's tomb located in the botanical garden on Pointe Mahabou in Mamoudzou. He was the sultan who put Mayotte under French protection in 1841. Walk up the alleyway which starts after the tomb, you will then get to the panoramic viewpoint, where you have a breathtaking view of the lagoon and Petite Terre.

    After a 13-year reign, Sultan Adrian Souli ceded Mayotte to France in 1841. He is buried in the Mamoudzou botanical gardens.
