Built around the Kotor's estuary, the small town of Perast is a true gem. Formerly a fishing village, Perac has its strategic position to thank for its fortress and ten watch towers that were built in the 15th Century. It's now one of the most popular sites in Montenegro. In addition to its outstanding architectural style, the village will enthral visitors with its palace, maritime museum and private docks. It's a charming place to escape to for a night or two.
