    It may be less well known than its sister festival, Barcelona's Primavera festival which takes place a week before, but this event is growing in popularity every year. The festival boasts an impressive lineup, this year acts include folk artist Bon Iver who will help you relax in the sun with his melodic songs as well as grime artist Skepta will keep the party going long into the night.     If you are travelling around North Africa or just searching for the right time to go, this is a must see event. The World music festival preserves the diverse tapestry of traditional African music and also provides a platform for emerging new artists. Taking place in Essaouira, it draws up to half a million visitors each year. Dates 29/06 ? 01/07

    Spend the Summer solstice this year in Greenland where the day is dedicated to celebrating their national and cultural identity. It's one of the most important days in the calendar and the locals will often wear traditional dress. In the streets, music and folk dancing shows keep tradition alive. Set in the picturesque Bergenhus Fortress, it promises to be a magical experience. Dates: 14/06 ? 17/06
