The current death toll of an earthquake in Japan's capital stands at three. Hundreds of others that have been injured have left the city. Experts have warned that there may be more to come.

An earthquake in Osaka, Japan has killed at least three people.

One child and two men are amongst the death toll. Around 200 others have been injured as a result of the earthquake.

Prefectures of Kyoto, Nara, Hyogo and Shiga had also been affected and experts have warned that there may be another big tremor in the forthcoming days.

Other warnings of severe rain and landslides may be of danger too.

Local businesses were put to a stop, airports had to close and other local public transport grinded to a halt.

Both the high-speed train Shinkansen and local trains did not run the morning commute.

Japan is no stranger to earthquakes and accounts for 20% them worldwide which have a magnitude of 6.0 or more.

The quake began at 08:00 local time (23:00 GMT Sunday) and a fatal incident had been recorded shortly after when a nine year old girl was killed by a falling wall at her school, similarly, an elderly man had also lost his life to a tumbling wall.
