Flights to Enfidha airport, near the tourist resorts of Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui and Sousse, will be available from summer 2015 from five of the carrier's British bases - East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.

MORE DESTINATIONS RECENTLY ADDED

The expansion will bring further growth to the Leeds-based airline's key airports, taking Leeds Bradford's total routes up to 50, with more expected to be added in the future. Other destinations recently introduced at Leeds by Jet2 include Antalya, Kefalonia and Malta, while capacity has been increased on routes to the Algarve, Lanzarote and Majorca.

The latest service will increase Jet2's routes from East Midlands to 35, and follows the launch of a new Ryanair flight to Malta.

"We are thrilled to announce yet more exciting news with the launch of Tunisia. The addition of this new hotspot means that people living in Glasgow can enjoy travelling even further afield with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays," said CEO Steve Heapy.

"This year has been a really busy one for us at Glasgow Airport with extensive growth and the introduction of four new sun routes for summer 2015. Tunisia is a fantastic addition to our services and with the reliable sunshine, I am confident that it will be an extremely popular holiday destination for us next year and beyond."
