To pamber the good boys from the local shelter, Tewkesbury Park decided to spoil some pups in luxury for a whole day!

Tewkesbury Park collaborated with Cheltenham Animal Shelter to pamper three dogs- 16-year-old senior dog Kolo, 9-year-old Tinkerbell, and one-year-old Oreo, to an entire day of yum treats and lounging with their caregivers from the shelter.

The exciting day began with a hearty meal at the hotel's dog-friendly Piano Lounge restaurant where the pups enjoyed a fancy dinner. It was followed by walk time with their carers around Tewkesbury Park's 164 acres of land. Later the pups were given a ride back to the hotel to rest amongst plush, memory foam beds, filled food and water bowls, and the best part- plenty of treats! In case the furry guests wanted more playtime, they were free to run in the grass outside.

Peter Newcombe, general manager for Cheltenham Animal Shelter said, "As older dogs who need to be rehomed together, Kolo and Tinkerbell have been with us a little while, so it was especially nice for them to have an adventure and to meet new people, we're very grateful to Tewkesbury Park for spoiling them." The motivation behind this inspiring monthly endeavour is to provide these dogs and particularly the older dogs a chance to hobnob with playmates and get physical activity which they are normally unable to receive in shelters. It's also an opportunity for hotel guests to adopt one of the sweet furballs.

Tewkesbury Park is one of the top ten dog-friendly hotels in the countryside of England. In fact, they come with their own four-legged mascot named Puddle, the cutest Weimaraner doggie!
