Sibiu
Travel Guide
A rather quaint little town, Sibiu has kept its medieval town planning intact. Many Baroque-style houses and palaces harmoniously coexist with churches and gothic towers. The heart of the town is concentrated around two squares, Piata Mica and Piata Mare, both surrounded by very elegant, lightly coloured façades. There you will visit the town's History Museum, the Pharmacy Museum, the Arts' house and the Ethnography Museum, as well as Brukenthal Palace, sheltering a rich collection of classical paintings. See also the Franciscan and the Evangelist churches which are magnificently decorated.
