Discover Protected species Serbia

Rich in mountains, rivers and forests, Serbia hosts a varied wildlife and many species are now being protected: stags, wolves, lynx, bears and foxes. The Balkans region is one of the most reputed bird watching places in Europe, with 379 listed species, 5 of which are protected: the imperial eagle, the great bustard, the Madagascar pochard, the lesser kestrel and the corn crake. You will be able to observe all these marvels of nature in the marshlands of Carska Bara and Obedska Bara in Vojvodina, as well as on the sand strips of Deliblato or even in Tara National Park in western Serbia.
