Bakio has been transformed into a traditional holiday destination, and its fantastic beach is the biggest on the whole coast of Biscay. It is very lively and the ideal destination for enthusiasts of any water sports, and in particular surfing and wave-skiing. If you prefer walking, you can make use of the very well sign-posted paths near the town that offer views of extraordinary landscapes and some architectural gems like the 12th century Romanesque hermitage of San Pedro de Pelaio.
