Font De Sa Cala

By Amy Adejokun Amy Adejokun Section editor

Our Editorial team's advice

The beautiful cove of Font De Sa Cala is part of the town of Capdepera, situated on the northeast coast of Majorca. The centre of the trendy seaside resort of Cala Ratjada is 2 miles away. This very quiet location has two club hotels that are very popular with French holidaymakers: the Beach Club Font De Sa Cala and the Club Marmara Roc Carolina.

To see

The beautiful cove of Font De Sa Cala, the trendy seaside resort of Cala Ratjada and the town of Capdepera.

To do

Beautiful walks in the surrounding nature. The pretty and peaceful little cove of Font De Sa cala with its turquoise waters is surrounded by rocks and fragrant pine trees, and is ideal for snorkelling and relaxing. You can also take part in water sports, such as a pedalos, windsurfing, and kayaking. Glass bottom boat excursions are also available.

pros

  • +  The beautiful cove of Font de Sa Cala.
  • +  The peaceful setting.

cons

  • -  The Club Marmara Roc Carolina building lacks charm and spoils the area.
  • -  The airport and Palma de Mallorca are far away.

To think about

The beach is not very big and there is not much space, especially during the high tourist season.

To avoid

The beach, or rather the cove, is small, so it gets crowded quickly. It is best to avoid visiting the area in high season, especially in July and August. If you are travelling to the area in April, May or June, there will be less crowding and more flowers!
