Playa d'en Bossa, the longest beach in Ibiza, is an extension of the capital of Eivissa in the western part of the bay. It is a 2.4 mile paradise of fine golden sand. The ambiance varies depending on what part of the beach you are at. For example, chill-out lounge music near the upscale hotels, like at theUshuaia and the Fiesta Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort; and blaring music at the Fiesta Palm Beach and the Bora Bora discotheque, which is famous for its afternoon after-parties.
The parties, of course! The after-parties on the beach. You can practice many water sports, such as jet-skiing, banana boating, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and water skiing.
If you look to the left, you will see the citadel of Ibiza, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Though the beach is overcrowded, very loud, and full of passing aircraft, which can be a little frightening at first, the atmosphere is extraordinary and is something that should be experienced at least once in your lifetime. It is a true spectacle!
If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've definitely come to the wrong place! The beach is overflowing with people, making it hard to make your way through to the water. The speakers are extremely loud and the roar of the planes that seem to land on the beach is deafening. In fact, they are so close that you can even make out the name of the airline company on the body of the aircraft!
