Discover Queen Sofia National Art Museum

Located in a huge building with an interior courtyard, the Queen Sofia National Art Museum is home to a permanent collection of modern Spanish art. Apart from the famous master piece by Picasso, "Guernica", you can also admire the works of Miro, Dali, Tapies and Solana. The museum also organises various temporary exhibitions that include painting, sculpture, video, photography and cinema.

The museum has undergone several restructurings. Architect Jean Nouvel designed the plans for the museum's extension, giving it its air of modernity.
