The cove of San Miguel, located in the north of Ibiza, is a beautiful seaside site. The coast is full of unspoilt coves including the beautiful Cala de Benirras, protected by the amazing 'finger of God' rock, that offers an ideal setting for watching sunsets. This part of the island also has a beautiful countryside with superb pine forests and hills sculpted by cultivated terraces. It is an enchanting sensory, visual and olfactory delight.
Watch the sunset from the Cala Benirras, or from the relaxed terrace of the Eden restaurant at the Hacienda Na Xamena. At the Suspended Cascades of the Hacienda na Xamena you will also find a thermal spa circuit. There are many water activities you can do thanks to the sailing school, including water-skiing, excursions on a glass-bottomed boat, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and banana boating.
Framed by hills covered with a fragrant pine forest, the pretty and very protected cove of San Miguel is not only a good size, but it also has crystal-clear water (you can see fish swimming right up to the shore) and fine sand.
Every Sunday during the summer months, the hippie community flocks here to the sound of the djembe and the didjeridoo in a flower power ambience worthy of the 1960s and with a bolas performance as soon as night falls: a beatnik ambiance is guaranteed.
You can take advantage of the setting to enjoy a good coffee, a good local beer or even eat grilled fish or tapas in the restaurants and bars on the side of the cliffs. Another possibility is the Eden restaurant of the Hacienda Na Xamena, where you can enjoy delicious tapas while watching the most beautiful sunset of Ibiza.
