Vallehermoso is La Gomera's largest city. Over time, this municipality became dedicated to farming, in particular banana and grapes, two flagship products of the region. Nevertheless, the important tradition of handiwork explains this city's significant production of pottery, wickerwork, glassware, wood objects, etc. Not only does Vallehermoso preserve an old town, which is very pleasant to visit, but its maze of districts are also perfect for exploring. It is a great starting point for hiking or visiting Garajonay National Park and Laguna Grande, a busy and cleverly laid out leisure complex.
