Galle is a city with a rich history. First colonised by the Portuguese, the Dutch have also left their mark.
The old city of Galle is nestled in a fort, dating from the 16 century. In the past, many transit goods passed through this important port.

Therefore I advise you to concentrate your visit to the fort and the inside of its walls.
So both cultural visits and relaxation are both on offer !
