Discover Sculpture

Limestone was very often used by ancient sculptors. However, other materials were used like jade, rock crystal, marble, emeralds, quartz, ivory and coral. The Buddha, a symbolic figure, is of course highly represented in three positions: seated, upright, and lying down.
