Discover The animals and birds of the tundra Sweden

Elk and reindeer (over 300,000) thrive all over the country except in the far south. You will come across a range of animal species, from muskox (a cross between an ox and a bison), to roes, bears, foxes, fallow deer, beavers and otters. Every region hosts swarms of birds: the Scanian lark, the golden eagle and the snow bunting in the Fjälls; geese and cranes by the lakes, and murres and penguins close to Gotland.
