Apart from the trip to the San Lorenzo cathedral, one the chief attractions is the cable car that climbs to the peak of Mount San Salvatore from Paradiso, to uncover a breathtaking panorama. In the area close to here you can visit Switzerland in miniature at Melide, made up of a Lilliputian Helvetia, the magnificient and highly romantic village of Morcote and the Santa Maria del Sasso church.
