The north of the island

The cliffs are located in the north of the island, which means it is possible to go for walks along the coast next to the sea.

North of the island. The islands of Guadeloupe

Discover North of the island.

The fishermen village of Vieux-Fort is known for its inhabitants, great charcoal manufacturing specialists. There are no beaches northeast of Vieux-Fort, only cliffs sculpted by ferocious sea storms. At the end of a stony path is Gueule-Grand-Gouffre, a huge water-shaped chalky arch. Further is Caye-Plate, another area where the sea is relatively violent, which is worth visiting for its giant lobsters.
