Knoebels is the States' largest free admission park and with entry for most rides costing the equivalent of less than £1, a day out or weekend at this park is a no brainer when you're in Pennsylvania. As with most things in the USA, the choice here is enormous. For kids there are animal themed rides, a ball pool and bouncy castles for them to release some of that kiddie energy. Thrill seekers will be in their element at Knoebels with almost 20 attractions where one is either flung around, soaked with water or dropped from a great height and these are not for the faint hearted. The numerous family rides at the park include the skyride, the giant wheel and little train. But there is also a mini golf range, shooting range, eagle sanctuary and three museums to ensure nobody gets bored! Given that there is simply so much to see and do in any one day, the park offers not only hotels, but also the chance to spend the night under the stars in their camping ground, where you can choose between pitching a tent or hiring a cabin. Again, prices are very reasonable, the exchange rate between the pound and the dollar still being advantageous despite the financial crisis.
