Not only is the Burj Khalifa the tallest tower in the world, but it is also one of the most popular attractions among tourists. Drawing visitors from all over the world since the opening in 2010, this magnificent building boasts two observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors and also the highest observation deck on the 148th floor. If you really want to push the boat, we suggest that you dine in the restaurant and lounge on the 122nd floor for an unforgettable experience. This is a 'must do' on our list, not only to appreciate the breath-taking views but also the incomparable hyper-futuristic buildings.

  • Burj Al Arab
    Burj Al Arab

Burj Al Arab is the world's only seven-star hotel and is one of the Dubai's most famous tourist landmarks. Its distinctive sail-shaped silhouette is renowned among locals and tourists. Therefore, it is no surprise that the building is one of the most photographed monuments in the world; it is built on a triangular man-made island, and it is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. Unfortunately, if you're not a guest of the hotel it is not as easy to explore this magnificent hotel. The only way to look around is to make a reservation with one of the restaurants in the hotel. However don't worry, this is not as expensive as it may sound. It doesn't matter what restaurant you opt for because as soon as you are inside, you are free to wander around and marvel at this impressive hotel.

  • Wild Wadi Waterpark
    Wild Wadi Waterpark

This is one of the most visited attractions in Dubai and it is a 'must-see'. Situated in front of the stunning Burj Al Arab mentioned above, Wild Wadi features 30 rides and attractions perfect for everyone in the family. Wild Wadi is themed around the tale of Juha who is a known character from Arabian folklore; it includes the familiar figure of Sinbad the Sailor. What kinds of rides can you expect? Among the most popular rides, there is Jumeirah Sceirah which is a tandem slide that is 32 meters high and 120 meters long. This ride allows you to whiz down at an impressive speed of 80km/h. If you're not a fan of going at fast speeds then there is also the famous Wild Wadi lazy river ride which is called Juha's Journey. It takes you on a gentle 360-meter journey but beware of the small surprise surges of water, waves, rapids and waterfalls that are part of this experience too!

This is not just any ordinary mall; firstly it is the largest mall in the world, secondly it is home to many of the city's top attractions! So, whether you are a shopaholic or not, you need to head to this mall. The mall features more than 1,200 shops so you will be spoilt for choice and will be able to actually shop till you drop! What's more, it also features an aquarium and underwater zoo, yes that's right, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is located in the Dubai Mall and showcases more than 300 species of marine animals such as sharks and rays! If that is not enough to impress you, then check out the Dino Display which is a display of a huge 155 million-year-old dinosaur which measures over seven meters high and 24 meters long.

Located just in front of the Dubai Mall that we mentioned before, this is a rare free attraction in Dubai that you have to take advantage of! Of course, this city loves breaking records so it must come as no surprise that the Dubai Fountain is the world's largest "choreographed" fountain system. In a league of its own, this landmark has become a top attraction among tourists and locals. We recommend you book tickets in advance to enjoy this colourful light and water show up close and personal. Although it doesn't matter where you watch this incredible display from, if you really want to go all out then we recommend going for dinner at the renowned At.Mospher Grill on the 122nd floor of the world's tallest building. This place is not the only the highest restaurant on the planet but will also guarantee you the most spectacular views of the display.
