As the lockdown is easing and we are starting to travel again, we wanted to show what a beautiful place Wales is, and that it should be on your list for a UK break. With superb coastlines, sandy beaches and epic views, beaches such as Barafundle, Rhossili and Tenby in Wales are beautiful spots and often voted in the world's top 20 best beaches.
North Beach, Tenby
The harbour town picturesque Tenby is home to North Beach, one of the best beaches in South Wales. With its beautiful sand and Goscar Rock in the middle of it, it is a beautiful location and offers wonderful pictures, as well as exciting activities, to its visitors.
Barafundle Bay, Pembrokeshire
Barafundle Bay often gets a spot on the best beaches list, thanks to its stunning views, dunes, pine trees and golden sands. Often compared to Caribbean beaches, it offers very peaceful walks and has no facilities or parking, which makes it a more isolated place than other beaches.
Rhossili Bay, Swansea
Rhossili Bay is also a regular on the best beaches list thanks to its three miles of dreamy sand and coastline. Part of the Gower Peninsula, it is a very impressive beach, offering dramatic views, dog friendliness, long walks and watersports to its visitors.
Barmouth Beach, Gwynedd
In the Mawddach Estuary in Snowdonia National Park, Barmouth Beach is one of the best beaches in North Wales. With its sand dunes, mountains and micro-climate, it is a very special place and is also ideal for surfing, or for some quiet time even during the busy months.
Three Cliffs Bay, Swansea
Named after the three cliffs framing it, Three Cliffs Bay is one of the most gorgeous locations in Wales, and a real pride of the Gower Peninsula. For nature lovers, it is a perfect place as you can hike around the clifftops, admiring the beautiful views.
