Earlier this month, a hotel in America was on the hunt for the perfect 'fur butler' to take care of their dog mascot. Now, Silver Swan Recruitment is advertising a position online of a live-in dog carer to look after the dogs of a high-flying couple in London.

Not only will the successful applicant be paid a generous salary of 30,000 to 32,000 a year, but they'll also move into the couple's extravagant six-story townhouse in Kensington.

Responsibilities include looking after the busy couple's two golden retrievers, Milo and Oscar, by taking them out on their short morning and evening walks everyday and attending to their every need. The role also includes managing any of the pair's appointments and liaising with their regular dog walker.

Yet the job description doesn't end here: they also want someone to do the housekeeping.

Besides the care of two canines, daily housekeeping is expected to be of a high standard. The successful applicant will also have to do laundry and ironing as required, the food shopping and occasional cook by preparing the evening meals. The couple are also looking for someone who can carry out some essential PA duties.

To be in the running, the listing states the candidate must have some previous experience in private households and in dog care and above all must have a passion for dogs. The ideal candidate is also described as being fit and active and hard working and trustworthy.

If you're looking to switch up your normal 9 to 5 then the listing can be found here on the Silver Swan Recruitment website. And who knows - maybe being a dog-carer-cum-housekeeper is your calling!
