If the coronavirus pandemic means we cannot get real vacations like we used to, it doesn't mean you should stay at home and do nothing... And guess what? You can now enjoy the beautiful New Orleans from afar, without even having to leave your house!

There are plenty of New Orleans traditions you might want to recreate for the time being, such as making beignets, listening to jazz concerts, or walking down Bourbon Street, but do not worry, we have plenty more ideas for you.

Indeed, New Orleans & Company, who work for the New Orleans tourism industry, have created a list of all the museums, attractions, musicians and local stores that you can enjoy and see virtually, without having to move from your couch.

Plus, they've also created a New Orleans Feel-Good Playlist, in case you need some music to work from home or to pick you up when days get tough. Even better, you'll be able to check out the virtual music festival The Band Together Benefit on April 25, which includes some of the most famous artists in the city, as well as very up-and-coming musicians.

And if you're craving some of the city's wonderful flavours, check out the famous recipes on The New Orleans tourism website, from red beans and rice to Po' boys, and you'll even be able to get some cookbooks, as well as some virtual cooking lessons from New Orleans chefs... So don't keep on waiting, try it out!

Finally, if you need some sightseeing, many places organise livestreams, such as The Audubon Nature Institute, which is doing videos of its African penguins on social media, as well as places such as Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, Steamboat Natchez, and Mardi Gras World, which are doing regular virtual tours.
