  • Fuerteventura

The second largest Canary Island (after Tenerife), Fuerteventura is an island with incredibly mild temperatures in winter, sometimes even warm, with an average of 20 degrees Celsius in the coldest weeks of January. And our favorite spot to enjoy the heat is Corralejo. Found in the north of the island, this town is home to a spectacular stretch of sand overlooking the neighboring island of Lobos and its rugged landscapes.

But it's not just Fuerteventura that is a paradise for winter sun seekers. Low-cost travel and a comfortable climate mean all of the Canary Islands are a great answer to winter sun in Europe. Why not try Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Hierro or Lanzarote; all full of culture, activities and beautiful beaches!

  • Melbourne

If you're willing to make the long trip to get there, Melbourne is without a doubt a destination that'll help you forget the winter back home. This city is not only brimming with attractions, mostly of which surround the Saint Kilda waterfront, but is also an excellent starting point for a road trip. Whether you wish to head to Yarra Valley's vineyards or take on the challenge of Great Ocean Road, Melbourne is a great all-round destination.

  • Cancun

There's nowhere better than Cancun for a winter getaway. Home to diverse idyllic beaches as well as Mayan ruins at every turn, the pre-Columbian city of Chichen Itza, and the site of Uxmal is also on the map. So, Cancun is not just a destination for idle sundowners, this area of Mexico is rich in history too!

  • Hurghada

Why do we like this Egyptian city so much in winter? Well, temperatures are an average of 20 degrees Celsius during winter months and if that's not enough to tempt you, its sea is spectacularly warm too! It seems there's no better time to explore Hurghada's various seabed's and fall in love with its colorful coral reefs.

  • Sicily

Winter in Sicily means less crowds, bright blue skies and blossoming almond trees. It also means you'll have the island's magnificent Baroque cities and numerous extraordinary archeological sites all to yourself!

From skiing at Mount Etna, testing out delicious local cuisine, to exploring the stunning hilltop town of Taormina, there's a lot to see and do here and there's no better time to do so than in winter.
